About Harding Academy
Harding Academy "strives to be a Christ-centered school that cultivates a love for learning, while educating the heart and mind for eternity." We believe that each child is created by God for a divine purpose and calling. We believe that the Bible is God's expressed will for man and reflects His Truth.

Welcome to Harding Academy
We've been serving Christian families since 1924 in their effort to pursue a Biblical education. Currently we serve four year olds through the twelfth grade.
Harding Academy serves as a viable resource for Christian families. We deeply believe that by working together with the family and church, the Academy can serve as an effective tool in educating hearts and minds for eternity. Our aspiration is to help every child at Harding Academy develop in all areas of life as Christ did.
The Academy endeavors to aid each child in developing an understanding of God while cultivating a willingness to obey His commands. Daily chapel and Bible classes, a scoped and sequenced Bible curriculum, and a thematic memory verse program are all ways in which students are exposed to God's Word.
At the local level, students help with a variety of service projects and relief efforts. The Academy takes every opportunity to encourage students to get involved by providing hands-on opportunities to serve.
Developing leadership and social skills is another vital aspect of a student's education. The Academy provides multiple extracurricular activities and organizations in which students may participate: Student Association, Family and Consumer Science Club, Art Club, Thespian Club, Quiz Bowl, Chess Club, Pep Club, Band and FBLA.
The Academy Chorus is another program that develops leadership skills. More than 75 percent of our students participate in the chorus and smaller ensemble groups, developing their vocal talent.
Along with spiritual and intellectual growth, Harding Academy strives to develop students physically. Elementary students attend physical education classes two times per week. Pee Wee athletics is offered to students in grades 4-6 who are interested in football, basketball or track.
At the high school level, students participate in physical education courses and lifetime sports programs, including swimming, racquetball, tennis and golf. These programs are designed to build strong bodies, teach a healthy lifestyle, and develop students' self-confidence and determination. In addition, the athletic program has an exceptional record in competitive sports, having earned district titles in all sports as well as state championship titles in football, cross country, basketball, track, baseball, softball and tennis.
While our primary goal is to assist each child in his or her walk with God through obedience to His commands, second is our devotion to the development of each child's talents to his or her fullest potential.
Eighty percent of our faculty members hold master's degrees, and academics represents a true passion in the lives of every teacher here at the Academy.
Moving Forward
We accomplished several goals and objectives that are worthy of mentioning. Academically, the Academy again advanced the school's average ACT score to 24.1 (the state average is 20.4, while the national average is 20.9). This makes the fourth consecutive year the school-wide average has increased. Another record occurred in the amount of scholarships offered to the graduating class. The class of 2004 received just over $2.1 million in scholarships. The Academy also completed accreditation site visits for NCA (North Central Association), ANSAA (Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association), and NAEYC (National Association of Educating Young Children) and received initial accreditation from the NCSA (National Christian School Association).
